Exhibition Planning & Ideas Inspiration Part Three: The size of your exhibition stand

In this latest edition of our five-part series, we’ve put together some tips to help you when considering the footprint and size of your exhibition stand.

 

1. Think about your objective

When choosing your exhibition space it is important to consider what you need to include on your stand:

a) Do you plan to run product demos or need a large area for a working model?
b) Will you need a meeting room on the stand?
c) How much storage do you need, will you need to store boxes of literature or giveaways?
d) Do you need a hospitality area on the stand; will you be serving hot drinks and/or food items?

2.  Maximising your budget

Exhibition space can be expensive and it is not always possible to have the stand size that you would like. If you do find yourself with a smaller space consider other cost effective solutions to maximize your presence at the show:

a) If there is no room to have a meeting room on your stand why not ask the exhibition organiser if they have offices to rent during the show
b) Floor graphics and branding around the hall can be a great way to increase your presence
c) Could you ‘share’ a space with a partner company or key franchise to split the cost of the stand space?
