Stepping into the Comfort Zone

Stepping into the Comfort Zone

Peach showroom interior

Taking the decision to rebrand under another name after more than 50 years is a bold move, especially when the company has a well established reputation and customer base.

This is exactly what Jo Somerville, proprietor at The Chair Shop decided to do. The company was founded in 1958 as a family business, having developed an unsurpassed reputation for service and knowledge of the comfort chair market. It has grown to offer the largest range of chairs in the North East.

Taking the decision to rebrand as Peach after more than 50 years as the Chair Shop was indeed stepping out of what many people consider the comfort zone. However it was something that Jo thought was important, with the changing age demographic and peoples' tastes in interior fashion. Creative agency Exclaim were responsible for the rebrand, and Envisage have been appointed to bring the new brand alive in their showroom. Jo Somerville, proprietor at Peach chose Envisage as she wanted to use a company with experience of exhibition design as well as having a pedigree in retail fit-out.

The project involved our exhibition designers transforming the large retail unit, into a place where the key qualities of Peach are apparent to shop visitors. On entering the showroom customers are greeted with messages that distinguish Peach's offer - good design, good advice and good health. A path leads people through the individual product groups and graphics and messaging tell the story.

In addition to the showroom design, a first floor area was created to accommodate offices as well as a specialist consulting room. Take a look at the Peach project in our interiors portfolio.
