Henleys Bread & Butter

January was a busy time for exhibition stand contractors and here at Envisage bespoke exhibition stand construction was at full speed. December brought us a new client in the form of Henleys Clothing with January and Bread & Butter in Berlin being our first exhibition stand with them. Working alongside retail designers, Industry Design it was Envisage's remit to realise exhibition stand design based on Henleys retail interiors.

With such a short lead time for bespoke exhibition stand manufacture it was always going to be a tall order for an exhibition stand builder to produce 220m2 of new build exhibition stand. However Envisage prevailed and had over 100m3 of exhibition stand design loaded for the journey to Berlin on the 13th of January.

The exhibition stand manufacture bridge-crossed, exhibition stand designers would have considered at least that half of the challenge was over with the exhibition stand construction on site being the rest. However the elements decided otherwise and extreme weather conditions made the shipping of the exhibition stand design a healthy challenge. With one articulated lorry and one 18 tonne rigid lorry packed to the brim with custom exhibition stand components the snow in the UK was not too much trouble. The considerably worse conditions through Europe and on into Germany with snow several feet deep in places were again coped with fairly well by our team of exhibition stand contractors.

Finally after arriving in Berlin the freezing temperatures of -20C finally took its toll with the brake system freezing on the larger exhibition stand lorry. However with the resourcefulness of our team of exhibition stand builders we managed to get the vehicle to site and unloaded with the loss of only a couple of hours work.

With a very happy client a huge triumph for Envisage exhibition stand contractors and one to go down in history as to just how hard exhibition stand construction can be for even the most experienced exhibition stand designers.
