David Cheesewright Design has been awarded the honour of 'Octanorm Designer of the Year 2008' at the recent Exhibition News Awards. Envisage were chosen as the exhibition contractors at three shows by David including Internet World.
The stand highlights the innovative solutions that can be formulated with the combination of modular kit and bespoke items - the success depends on a creative approach as demonstrated with David's design.
In this case the modular kit components were manufactured by Octanorm, which is regarded as the world leader in aluminium profile systems for the exhibition, retail and display industry.
David is a fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers, and has been an exhibition designer for 20 years. Over this time Envisage have enjoyed a working relationship and completed a great number of stands courtesy of his designs. These have included trade shows in the computer gaming industry for the likes of Logitech and Electronic Arts.
He uses Octanorm because he likes the element of re-use "I have never liked the waste in our industry" he states. "Octanorm is fast and easy to build - I have confidence in specifying profiles on big budget jobs where I want quality of finish and re-use. I also hold a small amount in store and can build small exhibits literally from the boot of my car, or try out 3D geometry on my desk.” he concludes.
Envisage are an Octanorm display partner and as exhibition contractors have been using the system to create modular stands, a prime example being this award winning stand.
